The Mill Golf Course in Winton Woods hosts the first 'On-Course Practice Tournament' of our 2011 S.uggs U.niversity of G.uided G.olf S.uccess on Saturday. Here are the Official Pairings. (Make sure you listen to your AudioBook Chapter 'Before a Tournament Round').
12:00pm - Oscar Zimmerman, Eric Steffey, Jason McRoberts, Matthew Wetherill
12:10pm - Zane Brownrigg, Travis Butte, Marshall Stretch, Bobby Welch
12:20pm - Taylor Suggs, Quincy Hogan, Rick Henthorn, Trey Gustin
To let you know a little more about these fine Adult and Junior Players, here's a little 'Fan Information.'
Oscar has worked hard on his game and plays for St. Mary's Middle School Golf Team, even though he's still in Elementary School. I've helped Oscar for about a year and a half.
I've helped Eric with his game for just a few months but am very impressed by his intellect and good ability to comprehend golf principles. Eric hopes to really help Lakota West do great in the Fall High School Golf season.
Jason McRoberts has attended almost every Range 'Office Hours' this year, no matter the temperature. He's a recent Mechanical Engineering Graduate of Miami U. and carries a 2 handicap.
Matthew Wetherill got to play on the Moeller Varsity last year as a Sophomore. His Thinking Game has improved the most in the 10 months I've helped him...and he gets especially great input from his Mom and Dad.
Zane has improved tremendously in the 18 months or so that I've helped him. He plays for CHCA Middle School, even though, like Oscar, he's not yet old enough to go to Middle School (but they really like his scores for the team.)
Travis lives in Milan, Indiana and spends countless hours on the Hoosier Links Golf Course. He also practiced and improved his Full Swing a bunch this Winter in the Garage at home.
Marshall has always played on the Varsity at Lakota West, even as a Freshman. He hits it far and has steadily improved in the 5 years that I have helped him.
Bobby Welch played on the Varsity Golf Team at West Union this year as a Freshman. His athletic abilities are fantastic, even if he's not near as big as some of those other boys on the basketball court.
Florida-born Taylor Suggs has played over 50 9-hole rounds this Winter since November 1, 2010. He thinks of a 45-Degree day as balmy. I had to confess to my Georgia-born relatives, and myself, that he really might be a Yankee.
Quincy Hogan lives in Carrollton, Kentucky and has played very good High School Golf the last few years. She is improving her downswing plane and ball-flight distance in the last several months, since I began helping her.
Rick Henthorn continues to improve his scores in Cincinnati Adult and Senior Golf Tournaments, year after year. His Wyoming Golf Club handicap has been trending down throughout the 6 or 7 years that he has had Golf Lessons with me.
I've really enoyed getting to know Trey and his Mom and Dad, Spud and Becky, over the last few years. They've helped me learn a bunch about Adams County Amish Country. Trey understands golf very well and the several inches of height he's added lately are helping him hit it quite a bit further.
You receive a Free Warm-Up compliment of balls at Meadow Links, down at my Video Station at the end of the Tee-Line before you tee-off around noon-time. You must pay your Green Fee and Cart Fee (if any) at The Mill Course Pro Shop.
Remember, also, since each of you is a Masters or Doctoral Level Player in the 2011 S.U.G.G.S., you can also attend our Range 'Office Hours' that will happen from 9-10am that morning at the end of the Meadow Links Tee-Line (Practice Balls not included in Range 'Office Hours').
I look forward to seeing you!
