Over the last few weeks I've gotten to know a 43-year-old man, Phil Bundy, who wants to play on the PGA Tour.
There is nothing really unique about that. What middle-aged man in America would not want to do that? Here's the deal, though...HE'S ACTUALLY TRYING TO DO IT!
You can 'read all about it' - at the link I will give you in a moment.
This can be, and often is, a very humbling experience. Very few make it onto ANY Tour, much less the 'Big Show'.
When I first got to visit with Phil, a former Division I College Player at Wake Forest, I asked him, "Why do you want to publicize, what will probably be, a rather humbling effort?"
He gave me a really great - kind of mystical, cerebral, far-off kind of answer.
You can hear him answer that question...and talk more about his 'Quest'...in an On-Line Workshop he will do for us, coming soon.
I'm reminded of a quote attributed to my Aunt, 'Golf is like love...if you take it seriously, it can break your heart. But if you don't, it's no fun."
I now have a new 'favorite Phil' when it comes to golf.
Knock 'em dead, mate...we're all rooting for you this year...and look forward to getting to know you a little better, in a couple weeks.
