As in all my Golf Teaching, I want you to improve your Self-Knowledge, not just your Golf-Knowledge.
So, 'What Really Causes MY Slice?' is definitley a great SAQ - as opposed to 'What Causes A Slice?'
If you develop the skill of becoming 'Your Own Best Teacher' you will continually...
Therefore 'Your Slice' can be caused by many different things. Tracing the causes of 'Your Slice' can be a very complicated and frustrating exercise.
But please allow me to slightly deflect our attention in regards to your SAQ. Let's not consider the cause. Let's just look at 'Your Slice', in reality.
In reality, I've never seen a Slicer that did not have a clubhead like the swing with the yellow graphics shown above.
But to cure this, rather than even dealing with the 'What Causes My Slice?' question....I've just asked thousands of Golfers to do something different with their Golf Swing.
As I did with this nice young man from Mason, Ohio - I aksed him to 'swing to the right' of his target line.
The blue graphics show a beautifully different swing, in which the clubhead is on the original shaft plane line, drawn at address. This radically improved Gof Swing happened for this nice young man about 5 minutes after the one on your left with the yellow graphics.
So, we did not even deal with what caused the Slice. This Junior Golfer just fixed it.
I love good results...as I'm sure you do also...as have the thousands of Golfers who have experienced this transformation with me on the Lesson Tee.
So, while I consider 'What Causes My Slice?' to be a good and 'Right Question'...you can improve a bunch if you just allow me to deflect our attention to curing the problem - rather than trying to find the cause.
Now 'fixed' in a sentence above is kind of a misnomer.
Let's discuss that tomorrow...should be fun!
