Again, to deflect your Golf question - and direct your attention to the effective place...
The other main characteristic, not neccessarily a cause, of 'Your Slice' is the lack of a properly-timed release of the clubface on the downswing.
This Golf Video-Frame shows the huge difference this Player made in his swing - in just a few minutes...
He worked on his downswing plane, what we discussed yesterday, for about 15 minutes of the 45-minute Golf Lesson. He did very well with that.
I then simply asked him to...
You see the great 'swing-change' he made immediately.
His arms had much better extension in the swing with the blue graphics.
Most noticeably, on the old swing on your left, with the yellow graphics, his left-glove hand was still on top of his right hand in his follow-through. This is almost always indicative of an open-clubface position at impact, a split-second beforehand.
In the Golf Swing with the blue graphics, you see his left-glove hand now under his right hand. This almost always is indicative of a properly-timed release. This tends to lead to Golf Shots that are straight or have a slight draw.
'So, What's The Other Thing That Causes MY Slice?' is a very 'Right Question'...definitely an SAQ.
It is such a good question because rarely in golf is there just one cause or aspect of a swing that hurts us. Often there are multiple aspects of a swing problem.
The Off-Plane downswing you saw yesterday - and today's open-faced clubface at impact - are intertwined. They cannot be thought of independently in Analyzing a Golf Swing.
For most of us, though, they must be thought of independently, when you are Trying To Change a Golf Swing.
Trying to change both Golf Swing faults at one time usually results in NOT CHANGING both.
Remember, the Simpler you make your Golf Game, the better for you.
This Player immediately saw a huge improvement in the Ball-Flights and Feels from his Golf Swing.
Again, he and I did not give any thought to what caused his slice - we just got the cure working.
Very Fun for him and me!
If you have questions about how he did this so quickly, feel free to ask them in the Comment Box below.
Sure hope you are looking forward to Christmas.

Will it help to move the ball up in the stance to catch the swing more square to closed at impact?
Seems to me I simply move the ball back in my stance to create a power fade off of the tee especially.
